COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado – October 11, 2023 – Doma Title Insurance, Inc. was honored today for its 2022 fundraising efforts for the Title Industry Political Action Committee (TIPAC), the voluntary, non-partisan political action committee of the America Land Title Association (ALTA).
TIPAC recognized Doma as Top Mid-Cap Underwriter of the Year during the annual ALTA ONE convention, held this week at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Doma was recognized as the mid-cap underwriter that raised the most money from its employees in 2022. Last year, Doma raised a total of $13,315 from 36 contributors.
Accepting the award on behalf of the company was Jared Uthe, Assistant Vice President, Regional Agency Manager.
“In the last year, Doma has focused its strategy of applying our patented technology to help address home affordability and accessibility challenges faced by millions of Americans,” said Rich Griffin, Senior Vice President of Agency for Doma Title Insurance, Inc., who serves as TIPAC Vice Chair. “Advocacy is a vital part of this effort, and many of our associates are dedicated to serving in leadership roles in the title insurance industry to raise awareness of these issues. Doma is proud to contribute to and work with TIPAC to bring these concerns to the forefront of lawmakers’ minds as we look to modernize the homebuying, selling and refinance processes.”
The only political action committee that directly represents the interest of the title industry in our nation’s political system, TIPAC raises money to help elect and reelect candidates to Congress who understand and support the issues affecting the title industry.
TIPAC supports candidates and office holders at local, state and federal levels whose expressed philosophy or records are consistent with ALTA’s objectives. Support is provided without regard to party affiliation.
Founded in 1907 and headquartered in Washington, D.C., ALTA is the national trade association and voice of more than 6,000 title insurance agents, abstracters and underwriters.
