MIAMI – July 8, 2024 – Doma Title Insurance, Inc. has appointed Gerry Simon as Vice President, Regional Underwriting Counsel for its Northeast region. In this position, he will provide underwriting support to the company’s agents and enterprise operations in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, as well as assist with operations throughout New England.
Simon brings nearly three decades of title and settlement services experience to the position, most recently serving as vice president, North Atlantic regional counsel for a national title insurance underwriter. From 2008 to 2018, he held the position of senior vice president general counsel at SingleSource, a national asset management company that provides services to the REO industry. Prior to that, he worked as agency counsel for title insurance companies in Pittsburgh, serving agents throughout the Midwest region.

Simon earned his Bachelor of Science degree in bioscience from Pennsylvania State University and his Juris Doctor from Duquesne University School of Law. Licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania, he has served on the Delaware, Ohio and Pennsylvania rating bureaus. A member of the American Land Title Association, Simon is a also member of the New Jersey and Pennsylvania land title associations, and has served on the executive committee of the latter.
